Meet The Volunteer: Jeni Smith!

Meet Jeni Smith!

Jeni Smith is a local business owner and a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) dedicated to supporting children in foster care in the community. She works with the young men on a personal level. Jeni loves being invested in their lives and helping them in the small moments that make a difference.

Jeni is passionate about helping the community understand that everyone can make a difference in their own way. She has made her restaurants a "home-away-from-home" for our boys, because she sees the importance of community and places to gather around a table.

Whether it be through volunteering time or resources, her contribution makes a difference in the day-to-day lives of our young men. She invites the boys to “gather” at her restaurant (SliceAbility). They walk there after school often and hang out with friends. She welcomes them and has been so patient and understanding with all of them.

Through her support, the young men at BRL find community and celebrate the small moments that make life memorable.

Jeni, Thanks(for)giving so much of yourself to the Lodge!
