On a cold fall morning, a quiet young man arrived at the Bald Ridge Lodge Group Home carrying only a backpack. His eyes stayed fixed on the ground. I could see he expected this placement to be just another ordeal to endure.

But what happened next is exactly why your support of Bald Ridge Lodge matters. As he walked from the intake room into the Lodge, staff members greeted him warmly. He began to get settled into his new bedroom. When the other boys returned from school that afternoon, something remarkable happened: his roommate walked in, immediately recognized him, shouted his name with joy, and threw his arms around him in a hug. These two had gone to elementary school together.

Over the next few hours, his entire demeanor changed. His roommate showed him around, demonstrating the leadership and positive influence that Bald Ridge Lodge nurtures in every resident.
