Keller Williams Realty Community Partners part of community service initiative in North America
Keller Williams Realty associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 10, but it will hardly be a day of rest.
Associates with the Keller Williams Realty Community Partners have chosen to "Give Where They Live" as part of RED Day.
Short for "Renew, Energize and Donate," RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service.
As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Realty Community Partners has chosen to spend the day with Bald Ridge Lodge in Cumming beginning at 9 a.m.
Keller Williams Realty Community Partners will be painting and cleaning the interior of the Lodge with paint donated by Property Masters of Marietta.
Also, the agents will be organizing all of the donations that the agents have given such as toiletries, food, clothing and more.
"This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty's culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone.," said Jacqueline Arthur, team leader. "Last year, we helped Safft last year clean up their facility. We can't tell you what an impact it made on each of us personally-it felt so great to give back to the community we know and love."
Bald Ridge Lodge is a non-profit stabilization and assessment center for boys ages 12-17 located in Forsyth County.
They serve those who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services or referred by the juvenile court system.
Through partnership with referring agencies, as well as families, we focus on family reunification and restoration. While at the Lodge, boys receive counseling, mentoring, community support and engage in positive activities. With the help of both State and local support we opened our doors in August of 2008.The facility, which can house up to 12 residents at a time, has nine bedrooms as well as a recreation room, a study hall, and computers, among other benefits."
During RED Day 2011, over 40,000 Keller Williams associates participated in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes totaling more than 190,000 hours of service making RED Day one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
